Should I choose trees and shrubs native to NZ?

Natives are hardy, attractive, versatile and blend in well.  When choosing natives select species endemic to your region first as they have a proven performance, particularly if you have an exposed site to get started with – they were here long before all of us!  We have a huge selection of both small and large grades of healthy attractive native trees and shrubs.    Natives and exotic plants can mix well in the right combinations.
