Magnificent forest tree that due to its slow growth is suitable for the domestic garden. Does not take up too much room - some specimens of 10-15 years old may be 4.5m high with only a metre spread. Forms a slender, erect, single trunk tree with bronzy, green leathery, smooth leaves. Likes heavy soils rather than friable soil. Young plants require some shade. 6m high x 2.5m wide in ten years. |

Makes an excellent street tree or specimen. 7m high x 4m wide in 10 years. |
